Make Integrity Visible

In today’s market, carriers are often evaluated on price, availability, and surface-level compliance.

But those factors don’t tell the full story.

Two carriers can look the same on paper — and operate very differently in practice.

CIP exists to close that gap.

It provides independent verification that a carrier operates in a consistent, transparent, and compliant manner.

What CIP Is

The Carrier Integrity Pact (CIP) is an independent designation.

  • It is not a membership

  • It is not an association

  • It is not something you can buy

Designation is granted, not purchased.

What CIP Does

CIP evaluates how a carrier actually operates by examining:

  • Workforce structure

  • Payroll and compensation practices

  • Insurance alignment

  • Ownership and control

  • Operational and safety systems

These areas are reviewed together — not in isolation.

The objective is simple:
confirm that what a carrier says matches how it actually operates.

How the Process Works

1. Application Submission
You provide structured information about your operation.

2. Review & Cross-Check
Key areas of your business are compared for internal consistency.

3. Verification
Where required, CIP may request:

  • supporting documentation

  • management discussions

  • driver or staff interviews

  • site visits

4. Designation Decision
Based on whether the operation meets the standard.

What CIP Is Looking For

CIP is not looking for perfect operations.

It is looking for:

  • Transparency

  • Consistency

  • Alignment

Past issues do not automatically disqualify a carrier.
Lack of disclosure does.

How Involved Is the Process?

The process is thorough by design.

Some sections are straightforward.
Others go deeper, particularly:

  • Workforce structure

  • Payroll practices

  • Insurance alignment

These are critical because they define how a carrier actually operates.

If your operation is structured properly, the process is manageable.
If it isn’t, the process will expose that.

What You Receive

Carriers who meet the standard are designated as:

CIP-Designated Carriers

This signals that the operation:

  • has been independently reviewed

  • demonstrates structural integrity

  • aligns its workforce, payroll, and insurance practices

Who CIP Is For

CIP is designed for carriers who are willing to:

  • be transparent

  • be consistent

  • stand behind how they operate

It’s not about proving you’re perfect.
It’s about proving you’re real.

Current Status

CIP is currently in its founding phase, working with a select group of carriers and industry stakeholders.
